KHP 3312 - Nutrition Counseling/Education

This course provides foundational skills of communicating nutrition science to individiuals, groups, and the public through various formats including oral, written and multi-media. Educational theories, cultural competence and health literacy will be considered while training the students in the use of motivational interviewing, negotiation and counseling skills, and engagement through mass media.
Prerequisite(s): KHP 2211 , KHP 3310 , KHP L310 , KHP 3317 , KHP 3311 with a minimum grade of C in all classes
