KHP 3317 - Advanced Human Nutrition 3 Credit Hour(s)
This course explores a more advanced approach to nutrient function and utilization in humans. Specifically, comparisons between normal metabolic functioning to metabolic characteristics of chronic disease (e.g., diabetes, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, obesity, cancer, etc.) at the cellular level will be covered. Additional topics include nutrition and the microbiome, genetic considerations, and exercise performance. Prerequisite(s): Grade C or better in KHP 2211 , BIO 2220 , BIO 3347
