KHP 4419 - Medical Nutrition Therapy

4 Credit Hour(s)

This course examines principles and applications of medical nutrition therapy to specific disease states. Topics include the nutrition care process, nutrition assessment, nutrition support and therapeutic diets. Pathophysiology of selected diseases with nutrition intervention and prevention of various disease states will be covered. Students will learn skills required to plan and implement modified diets for selected medical conditions.
Prerequisite(s): KHP 2211  , KHP 3311  , KHP 4411  , KHP 4425   with minimum grade C in all courses
