ANT 3316 - Anthropology of Medicine and the Body

This course provides a broad overview of the anthropological literature concerning medicine and the body. It largely takes a biocultural approach to exploring related conceptualizations and practices across societies. This course introduces the student to medical anthropology while investigating broader questions about cross-cultural understandings of the body.
