BIO 4411 - Animal Nutrition 3 Credit Hour(s)
Fundamentals and applied aspects of animal nutrition including classification and function of nutrients, nutrient requirements and deficiency symptoms, digestive processes and physiology of food assimilation, characterization of feedstuffs, and formulation of diets for domestic animals. The principles apply to all mammalian and avian species, but there will be an emphasis on swine, beef cattle, dairy cattle, poultry, and horses. Prerequisite(s): BIO 1100 /L100 and CHM 1143 / L143
