SOC 4411 - Population and Society 3 Credit Hour(s)
This course provides an exciting overview of how to analyze and think about changing population trends in the U.S. as well as around the world. Students will learn how to relate contemporary and pressing problems such as migration, population growth, fertility, death rates, and other population changes to current social and economic policy debates (e.g., funding for Social Security, education, healthcare, etc.). In this way, students can see the true impact of how population issues affect our society. Prerequisite(s): SOC 2275
