This course includes Lab/Field-oriented experiences designed to enhance the understanding of Literacy instruction for the K-6 learner with emphasis on child development, learning theories, individual differences, emergent and early literacy, principles of reading and language arts instruction, teaching strategies, and examination of current materials and instructional practices used in teaching literacy.
