MB 4427 - Ecology of the Florida Everglades

This course examines the natural history and ecology of one of the world’s rarest and most endangered wilderness areas. The Everglades is the only area of our planet to be designated as a National Park, an International Biosphere Reserve, and a World Heritage Park. This two-week course will consist of a week of intensive lectures ad discussions focusing on the history, geology, hydrology, and biota of this system, and then a week of intense field time to examine the Everglades and associated systems.
