This course covers the Middle East from Napoleon’s invasion of Egypt through the present day, covering the 19th Century, Zionism, the fall of the Ottoman Empire, the Arab-Israeli Conflict, and the colonial and postcolonial periods. Prerequisite(s): HIS 1101 and HIS 1102 OR HIS 1122 and HIS 1123 or permission of instructor
