EET 4445 - Optical Electronics II 3 Credit Hour(s)
This course is the second in a two-part sequence on optoelectronics, a continuation of optoelectronics I. This course provides the advance concepts in semiconductor optics and optoelectronics devices. Topics include the introduction to the light emitting devices, detectors, and modulators. Course also introduces the basic optical, electro-optical and nonlinear properties of semiconductors, semiconductor lasers, optical detectors, amplifiers, modulators and switches. Most importantly, this course helps students to meet the demand of growing semiconductor optoelectronic industry and prepares them to advanced study and research in the semiconductor optics and optoelectronic devices.
