A survey of the purposes, functions, and manifestations of American and European dance forms from the beginning of the 20th century to the present. Dance History II covers the forerunners and pioneers of modern dance; avant-garde and post-modernists; and the artists of jazz, tap, Broadway, film, and current media, introducing dance students to the innovators, dancers, and choreographers responsible for shaping 20^th and 21^st century dance.
