RED 6676 - Literacy Assessment & Intervention


3 Semester Hour(s)

This course provides an in-depth study of the principles of assessment and evaluation for improving language and literacy learning. Formal and informal methods of literacy assessment will be explored. Approaches to intervention informed by science of reading research will be introduced. Teacher candidates and in-service teachers will collect and analyze data to provide differentiated instruction and interventions. Field experiences required.

Prerequisite(s): RED 6631  and RED 6672  or with the permission of the department chair or designee.
