RED 6631 - Language & Literacy Acquisition: Birth to Grade 3

This course provides an overview of language and literacy development from birth to grade 3. Teacher candidates and in-service educators will learn strategies for promoting language and literacy development at school and home. Pedagogical instruction will be grounded in emergent literacy and science of reading research, focusing on oral language, vocabulary, phonological awareness, phonics, and writing.
