IR 6680 - Security and Comparative Politics of Southeast Asia

3 Semester Hour(s)

An examination of Southeast Asia’s politics, legal systems, economics, culture, military power, geography, and their impact on regional relations and linkages to the world system. Southeast Asia is a unique region with diverse political, social, and economic systems, and is a venue for great power competition. Through the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), it is the leader of regional integration in East Asia.
