Builds on prior knowledge of basic statistical concepts, including descriptive statistics and the components of statistical inference (pvalues and hypothesis testing). Emphasizes ethically generated application and results rather than clinical theory. Focuses on application of statistical methods that evaluate evidence-based nursing practice including inferential statistics (t-test, ANOVA, risk index, linear and multiple regression, and other multivariate tests). Requires writing narrative and tabular results using APA format.
