ILA 7740 - Andragogy and the Professional Learning Community

The focus of this course is on the creation of an effective learning environment for adult learners. The adult learner has different needs when it comes to professional learning and they bring different abilities to that learning environment. This course will examine the research and strategies related to Andragogy with the purpose of creating professional learning communities that are conducive to adult learning. Candidates will be provided with the knowledge, skills, and techniques to develop instructional materials for the adult learner within a school district.
