BIO 6610 - Principles and Methods for the Teaching Assistant

This course will provide each student with significant “hands-on” experiences in college level instruction and develop the knowledge and skills teachers need to implement inquiry based instruction. Students will work under the direct mentorship and supervision of the course instructor and will be trained in techniques, current presentations, and teaching methods of laboratory based biology. (Students seeking one (1) semester hour credit will be required to assist in one laboratory course. Students seeking two semester hours credit will be required to assist in two laboratory courses or laboratory courses with multiple sections.)
