BIO 5550 - Environmental History

An introduction to environmental history of the United States from the 18th century to the late 20th century, emphasizing the post WWII period. The course will focus on the historical development of the science of ecology, the origins of environmental problems and solutions attempted by government and experts, and responses by grassroots activists over time.

Prerequisite(s): Graduate standing at Troy University.
