General Studies Program: Specialized Requirements
All students are required to complete the Troy University General Studies Program requirements. The B.S. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering Program requires the selection of certain courses within the General Studies Program. For all other General Studies requirements, students may select from courses approved within the General Studies Program. Area II (12 Hours)
- Take any 1000-2000 level course in Literature 3 Credit Hour(s)
- Take any 1000-2000 level course with an expanded historical and cultural scope in the Fine Arts 3 Credit Hour(s)
- 3DP 2220 Fundamentals of 3D Modeling and Printing for Art and Industry
- Take any 1000-2000 level courses with an expanded historical and cultural scope in the Humanities/Fine Arts disciplines 3 Credit Hour(s)
Area IV (12 Hours)
- Take any 1000-2000 level course with a principal focus in History 3 Credit Hour(s)
- Take any three 1000-2000 level courses from the Social Science disciplines 9 Credit Hour(s)
General Studies Specifications for Areas II/IV
When selecting general studies courses in Area II and/or Area IV above, you must complete a six-hour sequence in Literature or History. Select one sequence from the following: Electrical and Electronics Courses (36 Hours)
