Students need to pass 2 semester hours of MUS 2XXX Applied Lessons, 2 semester hours of MUS 3XXX Applied Lessons, and 3 semester hours of MUS 4XXX (The final semester of MUS 4XXX is taken as a co-requisite with Senior Recital)

Minimum grade of “C” required and advancement will be given at jury examinations by faculty in each area (keyboard, voice, brass, woodwinds, strings, percussion, strings)

The Bachelor of Arts degree requires that 12 hours in world languages (classical or modern) offered by the Department of World Languages and Cultures in a language other than the student’s native language must be completed as part of the departmental program(s) or as free electives.

All Bachelor of Arts in Music - General Music Focus majors must also select one 18-hour minor.
