BIO L240 - Introductory Anatomy and Physiology II Lab 1 Credit Hour(s)
This course is designed to provide pre-nursing students develop a solid, basic understanding of anatomy and physiology. The format of the course is to combine descriptions of anatomy with explanations of how structures function and examples of how they work to maintain life. Also, included in this course are discussions of how the systems respond to aging, changes in physical activity, and disease, with a special focus on homeostasis and the regulatory mechanisms that maintain it. This course covers the endocrine, hematologic, cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, lymph/immune, urinary, and reproductive systems. Hands-on activities are incorporated into the lab. Note: Credit will not count toward a major or minor in the biological sciences. Prerequisite(s): BIO 2230 , BIO L230 Co-requisite(s): BIO 2240
