MUS 1103 - Music Theory II

Continuing study of Common Practice Era diatonic and chromatic harmony and counterpoint with emphasis on the music of the Classic and Romantic eras, including secondary diminished functioning chords, borrowed chords, Neapolitan chord, and augmented sixth chords, modulation, advanced four-part choral writing, harmonic progression, and intermediate-level harmonic analysis.
Prerequisite(s): Grade of C or higher in MUS 1102  
Co-requisite(s): For music majors: MUS 1106 , MUS 1108
