AT 6604 - Basic Principles Clinical Experience

This clinical experience emphasizes basic components of the athletic training profession including the prevention, recognition, evaluation, and immediate care of athletic injuries. Components of the health care team, evidence-based practice, medical terminology, emergency procedures, taping/bracing procedures, and documentation will be covered. Students will begin demonstrating evidence-based practice, cultural competence, communication, ethical decision making, documentation, and patient centered care in practice.
