AI 6600 - Intro to Applied Foundations of Innovation & AI

3 Semester Hour(s)

This course explores the evolution and impact of machine intelligence through historical context and practical managerial application. It differentiates between rule-based programming and machine learning, introduces key algorithm types-including classifiers, regressors, clustering methods, and neural networks-and examines practical learning approaches. Students experience the practical management issues within data cleaning, considerations of model selection, and how Al tools can be used to analyze sources, debug code, and increase learning efficiency. Emphasis is placed on the practical integration of foundational Al models with real-world data sets and possible solutions.
