3DP 2220 - Fundamentals of 3D Modeling and Printing for Art and Industry 3 Credit Hour(s)
Introduces students to the fundamental skills required to begin 3D design and printing using CAD (Computer Aided Design) software. Digital design terminology and techniques combined with an understanding of how 3D printers function will be delivered through a series of fundamental projects. Students are also introduced to contemporary discourses in sculpture involving digital fabrication as well as learning about these same practices for industry and how they are in dialogue with one another. Includes access to the 3D Printing Lab.
